ABSTRACT The
main purpose of the study was to explore from where people of rural areas of Bangladesh
seek medical help. The study had focused on rural area, poor and vulnerable
family. The study revealed that 2.7% population do not take any treatment, over 60% populations do not go to hospital and trained
professional for treatment. The barriers to access to health are 42% are
distance, high cost (17%) and 7% for misbehavior by care provider. The lack of
knowledge about location of health center and services available there. Even
today Quacks or Village health practitioners (37.2%) are the major curative
care provider. The villagers go to hospital during severe condition. Such as
asthma, Ulcer, Abdominal pain, Tumor of GIT, Diarrhea, Hypertension, Caesarian
Delivery and Uterine prolapsed, TB, Trauma or difficult labor etc.
